We evaluate the surface to ensure there will be a proper adhesion of the sealant. We look for oil spills, gasoline spills, and cracks in the surface. Once the surface is evaluated, we proceed to treat any areas that have oil or gasoline stains with SealMaster Oil Spot Primer. This will allow the sealant to adhere to the asphalt. If there are cracks a half inch wide or more, we clean them out with an air nozzle and fill them in with a Hot Tar and Silica sand mix to ensure proper filling of the crack.

Alligator cracking would only be filled in with sealant. Depending on the severity of the alligator cracking, we recommend having the asphalt repaired.

The next step will be to layout the area with a template designed specifically for the artwork, or utilize a customized laser line striping machine for bicycle lanes or similar applications.

The final step is to apply the colored sealant to the template. A special hydraulic pump machine dedicated to colored sealants is utilized to achieve a constant flow of sealant and to ensure proper coverage. 

Using safety tape, we mask off the newly sealed area. 

Heavy traffic should be avoided for 24 hours.

These areas can be as small as a 4 foot by 4 foot area in a playground, to the side of an entire building. They can range from murals to the exact layout of a basketball court.

Bicycle lanes are clearly identified when using our green and white colored sealant. Bicycle templates are used inside the green-treated area to identify bicycles specifically.

Residential driveways can add fun for the children by adding a hopscotch layout or another playful design.
